Everton boss Roberto Martinez says he will wait until the end of the season before entering contract discussions with five players.
Martinez does not want to take the attention away from Everton’s finish to the campaign which could see two visits to Wembley in the FA Cup and a late push for a Europa League place.
Once the season is over, Martinez says he plans to sit down with Leon Osman, Tony Hibbert, Steven Pienaar, Darron Gibson and Felipe Mattioni to discuss their futures at Goodison Park.
“At the moment we have five players out of contract at the end of the season and every individual situation is going to be managed once the season ends,” Martinez told the Echo.
“There is no change in that.
“There were the things we had to do this season, some players had triggers in their contracts and that has been done.
“Now we need to focus on the football side, see how good we can be in the next 10 games in the league and see how far we can go in the FA Cup.
“That is a team period. We will then have the moment to talk with individuals.”
