Del Bosque has announced he will quit his post as Spanish boss after this summer’s Euro 2016 tournament and he has been tipping up possible successors.

Martinez, who has come under fire at Everton of late as the side have had a disappointing Premier League campaign, is one of them.

“There are many good Spanish managers – Rafa Benitez, Roberto Martinez, Julen Lopetegui (former Porto boss),” Del Bosque is quoted as saying.

“Finding a new manager is very easy.”

Martinez is under contract at Everton until 2019 but, with new investment in the club, his position has come under scrutiny this campaign.
