Manuel Pellegrini: I want to leave Man City with some more silverware

The ice-cool Chilean will be replaced by Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola at the end of the season but is eager to end his time at the club on a high.

City currently sit fourth in the Premier League and are on the verge of reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time, following their 3-1 demolition of Dynamo Kiev in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie in Ukraine last week.

Pellegrini gets his first shot at a trophy this season at Wembley this afternoon when City face a Liverpool side who also enjoyed midweek success in Europe, making it through to the Europa League Round of 16 with a 1-0 win over Augsburg.
