Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford named in provisional England squad for Euro 2016

Hodgson has urged his squad to invoke the spirit of Leicester and win the tournament.

He said: “I’d like to think with this squad and youth and lack of caps it does have a long future.

“Whenever you go into a tournament you have to go into it hoping to win it.

“If you ask any of the teams they’ll think they can do it.

“No one expected Denmark in 92, Greece, Leicester to win the Premier League. Everyone needs that dream and hope and belief.

“To make predictions, I don’t honestly think you’ll get any football manager doing that. We must concentrate on the things we can control.

“The private messages are very important for players so they truly know they have a chance.”
