Manchester United transfer news: Jose Mourinho wants to take Willian from Chelsea in stunning £60m raid
Jose Mourinho is reportedly planning a stunning raid on Chelsea for Willian.
The self-styled Special One, sacked by the Blues in December, is on the verge of returning to the Premier League to take charge of Manchester United.
Mourinho has already put together a list of transfer targets as he looks to quickly put together a squad ready for a title challenge next season.
He is keen to bring in Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer and, according to The Sun, he also wants to be reunited with Willian at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian was Chelsea’s standout player in a hugely disappointing season for the 2014/15 champions.
He was a virtual ever-present for the Blues and was named the fans’ Player of the Year and players’ Player of the Year.
Mourinho is well aware of Willian’s talents having signed the forward for Chelsea from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala for £30million in 2013.
And the Portuguese is now ready to sanction a £60m swoop for the 27-year-old as soon he is confirmed as United’s new boss.
