Manchester United news: Ander Herrera set to return for visit of Crystal Palace

Midfielder Ander Herrera is back in contention for Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

The Spaniard missed Saturday’s victory over Aston Villa after suffering a knock in the FA Cup quarter-final replay win over West Ham last week.

Captain Wayne Rooney could continue after playing 67 minutes against Villa in his first start since recovering from a knee injury. The 30-year-old will be hoping to continue his comeback ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final clash with former club Everton.

But midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger (knee), forward Adnan Januzaj (hamstring) and defender Luke Shaw (leg) are still out.
