Barcelona backed out of a deal for Manchester United star Paul Pogba due to his agent fees, according to reports in Spain.
The France international returned to Old Trafford from Juventus this summer for a world record fee of £89m.
Before the move the midfielder had been linked with every big club in Europe, including Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
And now Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo, were another side chasing Pogba – until they discovered his agent fees.
The 23-year-old’s representative, Mino Raiola, reportedly earned over £20m following the sale of his client to Manchester United.
Barcelona learned of that fee during negotiations for Pogba and Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim that put the brakes on any move to the Nou Camp.
