Roma are ready to push through a deal for Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta.
The Italian side are in need of a new right-back for the upcoming season and they have been drawing up a list of targets.
Zabaleta and fellow City defender Bacary Sagna are two names on sporting director Walter Sabatini’s shortlist after scouting them last season.
But now, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are ready to focus on tying up a deal for Zabaleta instead of Sagna.
The Italian club believe it will be easier to prise the Argentina international out of Manchester rather than his French team-mate.
And as a result Sabatini is putting together a proposal now to try and complete a move for Zabaleta by the end of the month.
