Manchester City have tabled a £19million offer for Benfica goalkeeper Ederson Moraes, according to reports in Portugal.
Incoming City boss Pep Guardiola was impressed by the 22-year-old when Benfica came up against his Bayern Munich side in the Champions League quarter-finals this season and has made his signing a top priority when he takes charge at the Etihad this summer.
City are in need of a viable candidate to provide competition for Joe Hart next season, with current number two Willy Caballero set to leave this summer.
And, according to A Bola, City have firmed up their interest by slapping down a £19m offer for Moraes, which is likely to tempt Benfica into selling.
Moraes began the season as second choice behind Julio Cesar but grabbed his opportunity when the Brazilian got injured and went on to make 13 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese giants.
