Man Utd star Luke Shaw to be handed new contract after winning over Jose Mourinho

The 22-year-old’s Old Trafford career looked to be over after falling out of favour under boss Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese publicly criticised the left-back for his fitness and performances, making it clear that he wanted a specialist in the position, with Danny Rose touted as a potential replacement.

But Shaw has fought his way back into the fold, starting five of the last seven Premier League games.

And according to The Sun, the England international is set to be rewarded for his resurgence with the chance to extend his United career and cement his long-term future at the club.
