David de Gea has until Wednesday to decide whether he wants to stay at Manchester United or join Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Spain international came close to completing a move to Real last summer but a deal fell through on deadline day.
De Gea has since signed a new four-year contract with United but The Sunday Times claim the shot-stopper has a special clause, only available to Real, which can be triggered in the coming days.
It is said his exit clause is valued at around £47m and can be activated by Wednesday should Real want to sign him.
The report adds close friends of the goalkeeper are uncertain whether he will decide to leave Old Trafford or not.
