Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri could join Sevilla before the transfer window closes on Wednesday.
France international Nasri, 29, is likely to leave City despite making his first appearance of the season in Sunday’s 3-1 home win against West Ham.
La Liga side Sevilla will not arrange a medical until wages have been agreed.
City manager Pep Guardiola did not allow Nasri to train with the main group when he reported back for pre-season as he had returned overweight.
Nasri had been a target for Turkish club Besiktas, but that deal will not now happen.
Meanwhile, Eliaquim Mangala, who – like Nasri – was left out of City’s Champions League squad, is interesting a number of clubs.
Mangala’s former club Porto, who sold the defender to City for £32m two years ago, are keen on him – although the 25-year-old does have other options.
