Tottenham are reportedly set to make a move for Lyon defender Emanuel Mammana in January as Kevin Wimmer looks ready to leave.
Wimmer admitted this week that he could move on from White Hart Lane after growing frustrated with the Premier League club.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has been able to rely heavily on the partnership of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, leaving Wimmer with a lack of opportunities.
Reports claim that Pochettino will turn his attentions to his compatriot Mammana, despite having only joined Lyon in July.
The 20-year-old is a product of River Plate’s youth academy but was restricted to just 24 appearances for the senior side before heading to Europe.
It’s understood that Spurs will need to part with a fee in the region of £9million to get the Argentina international on board.
