Everton striker Romelu Lukaku says he wants no quarrel with the club and intends to do his best this season.
Lukaku was linked with a move away during the recent transfer window with his former club Chelsea said to be very keen on a £60million-plus move but the deal never came off.
The Belgium international says he will not cause problems just because his exit was blocked by the club but he has again hinted his long-term future is away from Goodison Park.
He said: “I tell Mino [Raiola, his agent] how I think about it, and eventually we have to make a decision that is best for me. For me football is not about the money.
“I want to win prizes. But when I get into a situation where I can leave but my team will not let me, I’m not one to go absent, get fined and cultivate a negative reputation.
“I try to remain calm and treat my club with respect. Hopefully they can treat me also with respect and I can leave through the main gate.
“I will not quarrel with Everton.”
