Luis Suarez returns to Melwood to give Liverpool boost ahead of Man United clash

The former Reds striker met Kop boss Jurgen Klopp for the first time and wished his former team-mates good luck as they prepare for the first leg of their last-16 tie with their bitter rivals.

Suarez, 29, was given some time off by Barcelona with no fixture until Saturday’s La Liga clash with Getafe.

The Uruguay striker – who was at Melwood with his children Delfina and Benji – watched the first team train on his visit.

“It was fantastic to see the lads,” he said.
