Liverpool veteran Lucas Leiva believes the options available at Anfield mean they have every chance of winning silverware this season.
Boss Jurgen Klopp enjoyed a busy summer in the transfer market, strengthening almost every area of his team in a bid to improve on last term’s eighth-place finish.
The Reds have made a solid start to the new campaign and their exciting performances have seen them tipped as potential top four contenders.
Having lost in the final of the Europa League and League Cup last term, they also have experience of going deep in knockout tournaments and Lucas believes the quality at the club means they have every chance of winning a trophy this season.
“I think it’s clear that we have very good players in every single position – and not just one good player, I would say we have two teams you could put out to get you results,” the Brazilian told Liverpoolfc.com.
“Of course the Premier League is very difficult, but I think the squad we have, with the new players who have made us stronger – hopefully it’s going to be a very good season for the club.”
Next up for Liverpool is the visit of Leicester on Saturday and punters may opt to use their free bet to back the Reds to pick up all three points against the Premier League champions.
