Football at the Olympics consists of 16 teams split into four groups with the top two from each advancing to quarter-finals.
The teams are made up of under-23 players, although three over-age players are permitted in each squad.
Neymar is one of them, and with hosts Brazil, he will be hoping to avenge their defeat to Mexico in the London 2012 final – in which he featured.
The home nation are desperate to add an Olympic gold to their five World Cups and eight Copa Americas – particularly as they have previously fallen short with three Olympic silvers and two Olympic bronzes.
