Pachuca winger Hirving Lozano has cooled talk of a potential move to Manchester United by declaring he knows nothing of their interest.
The Mexico international is reported to be a transfer target for new Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho, who has already brought in Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Old Trafford this summer.
The 20-year-old is believed to be high on the Portuguese’s wish-list, but the player himself has now revealed that he knows nothing of United’s reported interest.
“It’s nice to hear people talk about a potential move to Manchester United, but it would have been better if it was actually a fact,” Lozano told Record. “I don’t know anything about United’s interest. If the club tell me anything, then we will see, but I don’t know anything about it at this stage.”
The youngster is under contract at Pachuca until June 2020 and he insists he is happy to remain with the Mexican club, although he would not rule out a potential switch to Old Trafford in the future.
He added: “I am at Pachuca now and we will see what happens in the future.”
