Hull City will make a move for Torino forward Maxi Lopez if Gianfranco Zola is appointed manager, reports have claimed.
The Tigers squad is looking threadbare to say the least ahead of the new Premier League season and it was weakened further after Mohamed Diame opted to join Newcastle.
However, Hull are expecting a flurry of transfer activity before the window closes and Lopez is reported to be on the wanted list of Zola, should he get the Hull job.
Zola could be unveiled as the new Tigers boss this week, but reports claim he has already been drawing up a list of transfer targets, and Lopez is on it.
The 32-year-old has vast experience, playing for the likes of Barcelona, AC Milan and Sampdoria in the past, and joined Torino in January 2015.
