Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp motivated by manic celebrations to conquer Villarreal at Anfield

The Liverpool manager said he will be motivated by the sight of Spanish side’s entire bench tearing onto the pitch in front of him when Adrian Lopez converted a 92nd minute goal to seal a 1-0 success.

Klopp admitted he was disappointed by the manner of the late first leg deficit with left-back Alberto Moreno caught up field, but delivered a rousing rallying call ahead of next Thursday’s return leg.

“My first instinct when everyone was celebrating around me was that it is not over, you have to come to Anfield, too. It is only the first leg,” said Klopp.

“Of course I’m not too happy with the goal we conceded in the last second. Counter attacking in the 92nd minute makes not much sense.

“If we had enough players in around the box it was no problem but they played this one chip ball over Kolo, I don’t know where Alberto was in this moment but that was the only big mistake we made in this game and they scored with it.
