Ajax are weighing up a move for Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli.
The striker has endured a disastrous two years since joining the Reds for £16m from AC Milan in August 2014.
The Italian spent last season back on loan at the San Siro, but after just one goal in 20 league appearances he has returned to Anfield.
Liverpool are now trying to find Balotelli a new club before the season starts and his agent Mino Raiola is also in contact with a number of teams.
One of those, according to Sky Italia, is Ajax and they are contemplating whether to firm up their initial interest.
The Dutch club are in need of a new striker after Arkadiusz Milik joined Napoli and they believe Balotelli could be snapped up a cut price.
