Atletico Madrid are on the cusp of beating Liverpool to the signing of AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca, according to reports in Spain.
The Colombian only moved to the San Siro from Sevilla last summer and he ended last season with 20 goals in all competitions.
But Bacca is ready to leave already after reportedly being disappointed at Milan’s seventh-place finish in Serie A during his debut campaign.
Initially it was thought Liverpool would pounce for the 29-year-old after trying to sign him last summer.
However, according to Cadena Ser, Atletico are closing in on a deal for Bacca after holding talks with Milan.
The Spanish side are set to fork out around £24million and could complete the signing by the end of the week.
