But despite dreaming of the Premier League, Origi opted to leave Genk to move to French outfit Lille.
Crucial to his decision was the fact his route to first-team football that was obscured by Wayne Rooney.
Origi said: “My dream was to play in the Premier League one day but my heart said that I had to go through at Lille.
“I saw Eden Hazard come through and these other players there like Gervinho. Joe Cole was in the first team. I thought I’d have the chance to go through there.
