Liverpool: Klopp shrugs off Mourinho jibes

Mourinho has stated he feels Liverpool, and champions Chelsea, will find the coming Premier League campaign more difficult as they will have to cope with the demands of both domestic and European football.

Klopp refused to be drawn into any pre-season war of words with the United manager, however, and he says his full focus is on Liverpool.

“I’m not interested in what Jose Mourinho says,” Klopp told reporters when Mourinho’s comments were put to him.

“Why should I talk about Manchester United? Jose is talking about us, yes. We had a season of what Man United had the year before. I don’t know if anybody asked us how it felt (then).”

Liverpool take on Watford in a lunchtime kick-off in the first round of Premier League fixtures on August 12 and punters may wish to use their free bet to back the Anfield side to begin the campaign with a win.
