Liverpool 1 Sevilla 3: Reds stunned as Spaniards claim yet another Europa League crown

Despite taking the lead in a dominant first-half, a six-minute brace from Sevilla star Coke put pay to Jurgen Klopp’s hopes of silverware in his debut season.

With Basel awash with the red of Liverpool, Klopp’s men made a fine start to the game.

Pressing high and with great intensity, Liverpool were left aggrieved to not get a penalty when Sevilla defender Daniel Carrico seemed to handle inside the box.

Adam Lallana then did well to slip in Daniel Sturridge down the right but the striker couldn’t find a way past Sevilla keeper David Soria.
