Three men who stole Europa League final tickets from Liverpool FC’s office are being hunted by police.
All three men entered the office on Chapel Street, Liverpool, on Friday and one of them stole “a quantity” of the tickets, Merseyside Police said.
Officers were called at around 15:30 BST after the men left in the direction of Water Street.
Detectives have released CCTV images of the men and have appealed for witnesses.
Ch Supt Jon Ward said the stolen tickets were “no longer valid and will not provide access to the stadium”.
“Anyone who travels to the stadium in Basel with counterfeit or stolen tickets, won’t be allowed access – they will be removed and may even be subject to arrest,” he said.
He said “all tickets have now been removed” from the office and asked Liverpool fans “not to buy tickets from unofficial sources”.
Last week, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had to tell ticketless fans not to go to the final on Wednesday, when Liverpool will play Sevilla FC in Basel.
