Leon Britton: This is why Swansea will LOSE their last four league games

The Welsh strugglers, on 40 points and all but mathematically safe, today travel for a sizzling showdown at high-flying Premier League leaders Leicester.

And if that trip to the King Power Stadium is not testing enough, the Swans then face a trio of daunting dates – against Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester City – before the summer holidays finally kick in.

No wonder Britton warns that to mentally pack their bags and switch off now could result in some serious beatings for Francesco Guidolin’s outfit – considerably worse than the 3-0 humiliation suffered at relegation-threatened Newcastle eight days ago.

Issuing a rallying call ahead of the perilous run-in, the Liberty Stadium midfielder declared: “All four of those teams have something to play for – and all four are very good.

“They are all tough games – and if we’re not at our best we are going to come away with four defeats – heavy defeats as well because we’re up against teams in very good form.

“That’s why we were so pleased to get to 40 points before these final four games came along.

“Yes, I can understand the accusation about players being on the beach before the end of a season but there’s no way can we afford to do that.
