Eden Hazard’s late equaliser against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night sent thousands of East Midlanders into tears of joy and relief alike as little Leicester City secured their first ever top-flight title and completed one of the most unlikely sporting triumphs in British – and world – history.

Spurs’ dropping of points at Chelsea rendered Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes uncatchable atop the Premier League – just 12 short months after they had narrowly avoided relegation into the second tier and less than a decade after the club spent a year in the third tier.
