West Ham summer target Alexandre Lacazette is said to be eyeing a move away from Lyon after rejecting a new contract offer.
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic was thought to have launched at least one bid for the player in the summer and Premier League rivals Arsenal were also said to be keen.
However, the French club refused to budge in the market and they were able to keep hold of their star asset, who has scored six times from three Ligue 1 appearances this season.
Lyon were hoping to tie the 25-year-old down to a longer stay at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais and they reportedly made a contract offer that contained a 70million euros release clause.
The France international would have become the highest-paid player at the club if he accepted the deal, but the terms are said to have been rejected.
Lacazette’s future at the club is now in serious doubt and a January exit could be on the cards.
