Everton boss Ronald Koeman has called on his key players to start performing more consistently after a poor run.
The Toffees made a strong start to life under the Dutchman as they claimed 13 points from a possible 15 to secure a place in the top four.
However, Everton’s form dipped as they lost to Norwich in the EFL Cup before losing to Bournemouth and drawing with Crystal Palace in the league.
Koeman’s men are set to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday and the former Saints man wants his key players to start performing again.
“We have some key players in the team and they need to bring productivity to the team and we can improve on that,” he told reporters.
“We know we can be better than we are at the moment.
“Of course, the last two or three results, including the cup game, were not what we expect but we know we are Everton and we don’t win every game.
“We are in a good way but we know we can be better than we are at the moment.”
Everton’s last win at the Etihad came in 2010, but with City having failed to win in their last two outings in all competitions against Celtic and Tottenham, punters using their free bet may want to back Koeman’s men to claim a victory.
