New manager Ronald Koeman hopes to win silverware at Everton and says getting the club back into Europe is also a priority.
The Dutchman was unveiled by the Blues at a press conference at Goodison Park on Friday, after deciding to leave Southampton to take the job.
Everton were impressed by Koeman’s spell in charge of Saints and now the 53-year-old has targeted winning trophies on Merseyside, while also helping get the club back competing for a European place.
“To be involved in this great big project for the next couple of years is fantastic and a big feeling,” he said.
“Everybody knows the history of Everton. It’s a big history and it’s nice to be part of that, to win and play European Cup football and win titles.
“Everyone is ready to take the next step and I’m one of them.”
