Everton chairman Bill Kenwright says that new manager Ronald Koeman was their number one target after he signed on the dotted line.
The former Southampton boss has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal at Everton after negotiations finally came to an end and the chairman is delighted to have got his man.
Kenwright said: “We are really pleased to have secured the man who was our No.1 target from the moment we set out to appoint a new manager.
“Ronald has such a strong track record in the game, instantly commanding respect for what he achieved as a player and for his qualities and accomplishments as a manager.
“The hopes and aspirations that we all have as Evertonians are with him, as is our total support at Board, shareholder and fan level.”
Koeman, who has won eight trophies as a manager, including three Dutch Eredivisie titles, is joined at Goodison Park by his brother and former Southampton assistant manager Erwin and their fitness coach Jan Kluitenberg.
Everton are 20/1 with Titanbet to be relegated at the end of the 2016-17 season.
