Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for his side after they came back from a goal down to beat Crystal Palace 2-1.
Joe Ledley opened the scoring just after half-time but Liverpool’s task was made even harder when midfielder James Milner was dismissed.
The England international was sent to the stands after his second bookable offence but a mistake from Palace goalkeeper Alex McCarthy allowed Liverpool back into the game.
His misplaced pass fell to Roberto Firmino who tapped home before Christian Benteke scored a penalty in stoppage-time to give his side all three points.
Speaking after the full-time whistle, Klopp was quick to praise his team for their attitude throughout the contest.
“It’s well deserved,” he told Sky Sports. “After an intensive period we played really well against a well-rested team.
“We were not clear enough in the first-half and again we conceded the goal after three chances to clear. We didn’t do too well.
“We had to strike back with 10 players and it was brilliant what we did.”
