Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is adamant that his side have a “serious chance” of overcoming Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League.
Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool have a “serious chance” of beating Borussia Dortmund in their upcoming Europa League clash.
The Reds moved into the quarter-finals of the competition after overcoming Manchester United but they now face a stern test. Dortmund are the current favourites for the competition after cruising past Tottenham 5-1 on aggregate in the last round.
Klopp will return to the club that he managed for seven years and he is confident that his side can silence the doubters and win when they travel to Germany next Thursday, which you can back using your free bet.
He said: “I wouldn’t say we have a 100 per cent plan to beat Borussia Dortmund, but we are absolutely serious about the fact that we could beat Borussia Dortmund.
“For that, we need a special day. When we are on our game, it’s not easy to play against Liverpool.”
After winning two Bundesliga titles with Dortmund, Klopp will recieve a warm welcome when he travels to Signal-Iduna-Park.
Despite the media attention, the 48-year-old is adamant his side will not be distracted.
“To concentrate on the game is usually very easy for me, but this time it will be more difficult,” he added. “But I don’t have to be on the pitch, so it will not have any influence on the team.
“It will be a very special game, I was the Borussia Dortmund manager for seven years. I was very lucky there.
