Jurgen Klopp says he is excited about the way his Liverpool squad is shaping up ahead of the new season.
After arriving last October, the German has had the chance assess his squad and has been busy reshaping his talent pool in recent weeks, with Loris Karius, Joel Matip, Sadio Mane, Ragnar Klavan and Alex Manninger all arriving at Anfield.
Having now stamped his own mark on the side, much is expected of Klopp’s first full season in charge, with the Reds being tipped for a run at a top-four finish.
The 49-year-old admits he is pleased with the business he has done so far and is looking forward to seeing his Liverpool team in action in the upcoming campaign.
“Of course I am [excited],” he told the club’s official website. “We will be ready for the season, 100 per cent. We are really looking forward to it.
“We will fight for everything and we will challenge everybody – that’s the plan. We will use this time to train and we will really try to build a real team and group. Each player is important for this.”
Liverpool begin the new campaign on August 14 away at Arsenal and punters may choose to use their free bet to back the Reds to claim all three points at the Emirates.
