Crystal Palace are reported to be locked in talks with Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda over a move to Selhurst Park.
The Eagles initially made an approach for the keeper at the end of the 2014-15 campaign but found their advances rebuffed as the France outfit refused to sell.
However, Palace boss Alan Pardew has maintained his interest in the player and has returned for a second time in the hope the answer will be different.
The likes of Everton, Besiktas and Villarreal have also expressed an interest, with the Turkish club knocked back in January, so Palace will face strong competition.
Reports claim that the 31-year-old is reluctant to leave Marseille for a club where he is not guaranteed regular football – something which Palace are prepared to offer.
It’s understood that he may be available for a fee in the region of £5million and Palace will hope negotiations progress well.
