Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp looks set to go with new keeper Loris Karius as his first choice keeper against Hull.
The inclusion of the £4.7m summer signing from Mainz ahead of Belgium shot stopper Simon Mignolet will cast doubt on the latter’s long-term future at Anfield.
Mignolet sat out the EFL Cup win over Derby County in midweek but was expecting to return to the starting line up in the Premier League so it will be a big blow to the former Sunderland man.
Karius had been expected to start the season as number one until he broke his hand in a pre-season clash with Chelsea.
