Harry Kane is looking forward to teaming up with Leicester’s Jamie Vardy when England go in search of Euro 2016 glory this summer.
The strikers went head to head for the Premier League title and the Golden Boot during the season, with Tottenham’s Kane claiming the latter although Vardy was one of the main reasons why the Foxes secured the English top-flight crown.
The pair will now be on the same side as the Three Lions head to France looking to win the European Championship for the first time.
There was plenty of good-natured banter between to two players during the title run-in, but it was Vardy who had the last laugh as he and his team-mates paraded the trophy around Leicester on an open-top bus.
Whether or not they get the nod to feature up front this summer only time will tell, but Kane would love it to happen after a successful season for both stars.
“Winning the Golden Boot is nice, and it’s something I’m very proud of, but he won the Premier League, so there’s not a lot I can say,” Vardy said. “But it’s all about the Three Lions now, we’re all concentrating on England.
“Jamie has had a fantastic season and scored a lot of goals, so if the manager puts us together it will be very exciting.”
Punters looking to use a free bet might fancy the talented strikers to lead England to Euro 2016 glory before heading back to their clubs to do it all again next term.
