Jose Mourinho refuses to panic over Paul Pogba deal: Man Utd boss has back-up targets

Juan Mata is set to stay at United following clear-the-air talks with Mourinho.

Mourinho sold Mata to United in 2013 while Chelsea boss but has no intention of ditching Mata again – even though he has warned the Spanish international he will not play every game.

He added: “I sold him because he asked for that. Nobody in my previous club wanted to sell or push him. It was his decision.

“He wanted to leave and my philosophy is I don’t want players who want to leave. I want players who want to stay.

“So we sold Juan, but I think since the first day here everything is clear between us. There is space for him. He’s a talented player.”

Juve, meanwhile, will target Newcastle ace Moussa Sissoko if Pogba leaves, but could face stiff competition from Everton, who are also interested in the £35m-rated midfielder.
