Sunderland loanee Adnan Januzaj is closing in on a return to action after posting a video of his progress on social media.
The Belgium international agreed to join the Black Cats on a season-long loan from Manchester United over the summer following the appointment of former boss David Moyes.
However, the 21-year-old suffered ankle ligament damage in the loss to Crystal Palace at the end of September and was ruled out for six weeks.
Januzaj appears to be much closer to a return than previously expected after sharing a video of his progress on social media.
The midfielder captioned the video “getting there” as he can be seen doing one-footed step ups on the injured ankle.
This speedy recovery will come as a timely boost for Moyes, who has struggled to pick up results this term with Sunderland sitting rock bottom of the Premier League with two points from seven outings.
