Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham could battle it out for the signature of Real Madrid’s out-of-favour midfielder James Rodriguez.
The Colombian has only managed 34 minutes in La Liga this season and, although he hasn’t yet asked to leave the Bernabeu, a move away seems the most likely solution.
According to Calciomercato, the lack of playing time could decrease James’ valuation with a figure of around £42m likely to be accepted by Real.
Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane appears to have frozen out the attacking midfielder, whose contract at the Champions League winners has another four years to run.
It is thought that Old Trafford is the most likely destination for the 25-year-old, but Arsenal and Spurs are also eyeing the 2014 World Cup star.
