Milner was also positive on his former club’s Premier League title chances, despite City being 10 points behind leaders Leiecester.
The England midfielder helped City claw back United late on in 2012 to lift the title and also won it in 2014 with them.
He added: “They have the experience of winning it, they have a lot of top players who have done it before and a lot of quality.
“They can win every game between now and the end of the season and if teams see them breathing down their neck, sometimes it is easier coming from behind.
“The first time we won the title we thought we were out of it with six or seven weeks to go.
