Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic believes Marko Arnautovic has outgrown Stoke and feels he will soon look to move on.
The 27-year-old Arnautovic has made 100 appearances for the Potters since arriving for a reported £2million from Werder Bremen in 2013.
The winger enjoyed his best campaign for Stoke in 2015-16 as he netted 11 times and provided six assists under Mark Hughes.
Arnautovic’s form at international level has also caught the eye as he scored twice in a 2-2 draw with Wales on Thursday.
Ivanovic, who will come up against the Austrian in Sunday’s World Cup qualifier with his Serbia side, feels the Stoke man has become too good for the Bet365 Stadium outfit.
“I have the utmost respect for Arnautovic because he has matured in the last year and a half or two,” Ivanovic said.
“He has drawn a lot of attention here [in Serbia] because of his heritage [he has a Serbian father] and in footballing terms, he has perhaps improved beyond the quality of the club he plays for.”
