Stoke will be without Stephen Ireland for Sunday’s final-day clash with West Ham after he suffered a broken leg in training this week.

The midfielder faces a long spell out after it was announced this week that he had broken a bone in his leg in training and he will not be involved against the Hammers on Sunday.

Jack Butland, Shay Given and Ibrahim Afellay all also remain sidelined through injury, while Glen Johnson and Marc Wilson are nursing knee injuries and aren’t expected to feature.

Boss Mark Hughes could decide to hand some fringe and younger players a chance to impress on the final day, although Bojan, Joselu and Jonathan Walters, who were all on the bench in last week’s 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace, will hope for starts.
