Tottenham have launched a £38million bid for Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi, according to reports in Italy.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to sign a new striker to take the pressure off Harry Kane, and looks set to turn his attention to Inter star Icardi.
Tottenham will face strong competition to land the 23-year-old as Atletico Madrid are keen and have already launched a £29million bid that fell short of Inter’s valuation.
Reports in the Italian press claim that Pochettino is ready to outbid the Spanish side for the striker, who bagged 16 goals in 33 Serie A outings last season.
Spurs are also keen on AZ Alkmaar Vincent Janssen, who is reported to have turned his back on Paris Saint-Germain in the hope of completing a move.
