Ryan Bertrand has withdrawn from the England squad for Saturday’s friendly against Germany with an injury.

The Southampton defender picked up a knock in the Premier League win over Liverpool on Sunday.

Bertrand, 26, missed training with the national squad this week and has returned to his club for treatment.

He will not be replaced in Roy Hodgson’s squad. England face the Netherlands at Wembley on Tuesday after their trip to Berlin.
