Manchester United are expected to wrap up the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic next week when he is due to arrive for a medical.
The 34-year-old former Sweden international is destined to move to Old Trafford on a one-year contract when his deal at Paris Saint-Germain officially expires on June 30.
The Red Devils were hoping to have the deal in place before the start of Euro 2016 earlier this month, but negotiations over his contract and personal terms went on longer than anticipated.
Therefore, with Sweden dumped out of the tournament at the group stages, Ibrahimovic will now fly into Manchester to undergo a physical examination before ‘dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s’ on his contract.
There is not expected to be any issues with the medical and Ibrahimovic will then be confirmed as a United player as he links up with boss Jose Mourinho for the second time in his career following their successful spell together at Inter Milan.
