Arsenal are reported to be among the clubs showing an interest in Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe ahead of the summer window.
The ex-Wycombe Wanderers starlet joined Liverpool for an undisclosed fee shortly after his 16th birthday and was being groomed to take over from Raheem Sterling last summer when the Anfield club tied him down to a new long-term contract worth £35,000 a week.
However, he has not made the anticipated impact in his 10 Premier League starts and 25 substitute appearances this term with Sheyi Ojo, 18, having emerged as an alternative option for Jurgen Klopp.
The German boss may still be reluctant to sanction a permanent sale of the winger but could listen to loan offers from suitable clubs, with Arsenal also said to be in the hunt.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger looks willing to cash in on Theo Walcott, who has been linked with the Reds, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, so Ibe could be seen as an ideal replacement.
Arsenal would face competition for his services though as Tottenham, West Brom and Watford are also keen if Liverpool do allow him to move on.
