Hundreds of migrants evacuated after HUGE camp underneath Paris railway station cleared

2 May

This is not the first time the site has been cleared out.

On March 30, the authorities said the camp would be evacuated, but people came back to the site with makeshift mattresses.

Previously, the camp had nearly 1,000 people.

Around 6,500 people have been moved into emergency shelters in Paris in the last year, with the increase in numbers partially due to clearances at the notorious Jungle camp, near Calais.
