Hull City have bolstered their attacking options with the season long-loan signing of Dynamo Kiev’s Dieumerci Mbokani.
Hull were working hard on deadline day to bring in a new striker and they have succeeded in their efforts after confirming the addition of Mbokani on a temporary one-year deal.
The 30-year-old was at Norwich City in the previous campaign on a season-long loan and he was a rare positive for the club, scoring seven goals in 29 Premier League appearances.
Mike Phelan, who is hoping to impress enough to get the managers job full-time, will be hoping the same performances can replicated to ensure the Tigers avoid relegation this term.
Mbokani is a strong, powerful forward and he could form a successful partnership up-front with Abel Hernandez, who remains at the club despite deadline day interest.
Hull have been busy in the market over the past few days and their new addition is the fifth arrival at the KCOM Stadium after Tottenham’s Ryan Mason, Cardiff’s David Marshall and the Manchester United duo of Will Keane and James Weir.
